Easy Tortilla Pizza Recipe (in 15 minutes!)

This 15-minute tortilla pizza helps satisfy cravings without the high calories and fat content typical pizza has. It's flavourful, chees and yummy!

Ingredients

  • 1 clove of garlic, minced (£0.39)
  • 200 ml passata (£0.60)
  • 4/5 wholemeal wraps (£1.10)
  • 40 g pitted black olives, sliced (£1.15/3)=(£0.38)
  • 350 g tomatoes, thinly sliced (£1.35/2)=£0.67)
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced (£0.15)
  • 250 g mozzarella, grated (£2.50)
  • 1 bunch of fresh basil, torn (£0.55)

Cupboard Essentials

  • Sprinkle chilli flakes
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

Preheat oven to 180°C FAN

  • Make the garlic paste by mincing the garlic and adding a pinch of salt onto it. Using the side of your knife, apply pressure to form a paste and slide your knife until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  • To a mixing bowl, form the tomato base by combining the passata, oregano, chilli flakes, garlic paste, salt and pepper.
  • Place your wrap on a baking tray. Add around 3-4 spoonfuls of the tomato sauce, using your spoon to evenly distribute across the wrap. Bring the sauce up to the edge of the wrap.
  • Top with olives, onion and tomatoes, followed by a generous scattering of mozzarella. Add an extra sprinkle of chilli flakes if you like a little kick and a pinch of salt. Pop in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted & golden brown.
  • Garnish with basil and enjoy!

Notes

  • Avoid overcrowding tortilla pizzas to prevent a soggy crust due to the thinner tortilla base.
  • Always use cooked meat toppings, such as bacon or sausage, to ensure safe consumption.
  • Chop vegetables into even pieces for even cooking and distribution on the pizza.
