- 2 whole bulbs of garlic (£0.78)
Cupboard Essentials
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
Start by slicing the top 2 cm off of the garlic bulbs to expose the cloves.
Drizzle 1 tbsp of olive oil into each bulb of garlic. Season with salt and pepper, then wrap in a foil boat, leaving the garlic bulbs facing upright.
Pop in the airfryer for 30 minutes at 200°C/395°F. Open the foil for the final 10 minutes to encourage caramelization.
Leave to stand for a couple of minutes, then squeeze the roasted garlic out of the bulb. Squish with the side of your knife if you want to make a roasted garlic paste.
- Be cautious of steam when roasting garlic in the air fryer; use tongs to open the foil pouch to avoid burns.
- Allow garlic to cool before peeling, as you'll need to use your hands; if you can't wait, use a clean tea towel to protect your fingers.
- Generously season the exposed garlic cloves with salt.
