- 500 g white fish cod, basa fillets, haddock, hake
- 1-2 lemons sliced into rounds
- fresh parsley
Cupboard Essentials
- 3 tsp fish seasoning
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Black pepper
Preheat your oven to 400°F/205°C conventional.
Pat the fish with paper towel to remove any excess moisture. Coat the fish on both sides with the fish seasoning.
To a large baking dish, add a layer of the lemon rounds to cover the base of the tray.
Place the fish on top of the lemons, coat with extra virgin olive oil, and bake for 15–25 minutes, or until the fish reaches 145°F (63°C), adjusting the time based on fillet thickness.
Remove from the oven and add an extra crack of black pepper and a sprinkle of fresh parsley. Enjoy!
- My go-to fish seasoning is : 2 tsp Old Bay seasoning or all seasoning, 1/2 tsp ground cumin, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp dried parsley, 1 tsp garlic granules , 1 tsp salt (or celery salt if you have).
- Cook time will vary depending on the thickness of your fillet, so I like to check the fish at 15 minutes.
