Ingredients

  • cup (60g) rolled oats
  • ½ cup (120g) peanut butter (runny, natural)
  • 2 scoops (about ½ cup / 60g) vanilla protein powder
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • ¼ cup (40g) Magic Stars (or mini chocolate chips)
  • Splash of milk or water, if needed

Instructions

  • Add the peanut butter, oats, protein powder and maple syrup, then blitz to a dough, adding a splash of milk or water if it's too stiff to come together.
  • Stir in the Magic Stars.
  • Roll into 12 balls and chill for 30 minutes, then store in the fridge.

Notes

  • Use runny, natural peanut butter for a silkier dough that needs less added liquid; if the mix is too stiff to come together, add milk or water a teaspoon at a time until it just holds.
  • Chill for 30 minutes before serving to firm them up so they hold their shape and travel neatly, and damp your palms before rolling so the mix doesn't cling.
  • They freeze brilliantly, so make a double batch and stash half for the weeks you can't be bothered.
