Ingredients

  • 1 (around 230g) ribeye steak (£5.20)

Cupboard Essentials

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Salt

Instructions

Preheat the airfryer to 400°F(205°C)

  • Season the rib eye with salt and then coat some oil. Pop the steak into the airfryer for between 3 minutes (rare) and 12 minutes (for well done) at 400°F(205°C)..
  • I like my steak medium rare, so I cooked my steak for approximately 6 minutes, turning the steak after 3 minutes. After cooking I used a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature was around 55℃ (130℉).
  • Then remove the steak from the airfryer, cover in foil and let it rest for 5 -10 minutes, allowing the final temperature to come up to 57℃ (135℉).
  • Slice into strips and serve with cowboy butter or your favorite sauce.

Notes

  • Ensure an even cook throughout your ribeye by preheating your airfryer.
  • Flip your steak halfway through cooking to evenly cook both sides.
  • Bring your ribeye to room temperature before air frying for quicker and more even cooking.
  • Use a meat thermometer to achieve your desired doneness without cutting into the steak, preserving its juiciness.
  • Let the steak rest, tented with foil, after cooking to redistribute juices and maintain heat, resulting in a succulent ribeye.
