- 320 g tenderstem broccoli
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 50 g parmesan, finely grated to serve
- Juice of half a lemon
Cupboard Essentials
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & Pepper
- Optional pinch of chilli flakes
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C)
Slice the tough ends of the broccoli stalks off, reducing as much waste as possible. Line a large baking tray with foil and divide the tenderstem broccoli in half.
Position the broccoli on the foil with the two rows of florets facing towards the centre.
Coat in olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper. Pop in the oven for 13-15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and add the garlic and lemon juice. Toss to combine. Serve with finely grated parmesan and an optional pinch of chilli flakes. Enjoy!
- Maintain broccoli's vibrant green colour; avoid overcooking until it turns olive green.
- Arrange florets facing each other to promote steaming and prevent burning.
- Garnish with cracked black pepper over parmesan for final touch.
