If you are not a ribeye fan, you can try this recipe with any other cut of steak you like such as a skirt, porterhouse, or T-bone. Just know that you may need to change the time and temperature of the cook, as this method is specific for ribeye steak in air fryer.
Preheat the airfryer to 400°F (205°C)

3. Pop the steak into the airfryer for between 3 minutes (rare) and 12 minutes (for well done) (Image 3).
4. I like my steak medium rare, so I cooked my steak for approximately 4 minutes at 400°F(205°C) (Image 4).

5. Turn the steak after 2 minutes. After cooking I used a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature was around 55℃ (130℉) (Image 5).
6. Then remove the steak from the airfryer, cover in foil and let it rest for 5 -10 minutes, allowing the final temperature to come up to 57℃ (135℉). Slice into strips and serve with cowboy butter or your favorite sauce (Image 6).

After you air fry ribeye steak, just slice into strips and serve with Cowboy Butter or your favorite sauce.

Choosing a good ribeye steak to make in your air fryer is easy if you know what to look for.
First of all, make sure that the steak is well marbled. This means that it has plenty of white fat lines and flecks running through it. That way you know your ribeye steak in air fryer is going to be flavorful and juicy after cooking.
Second of all, you want to make sure that the ribeye (or any other steak you buy) is a nice red-purplish color. Some brown coloration can also be okay as long as there is no terrible smell that accompanies it.
Which brings me to the third and final tip for choosing a great ribeye steak: make sure the smell of the meat has no hint of sulfur or ammonia.
Cooking your steak just the way you like it is what we all strive for when making steak. And using the air fryer is a game changer for getting the exact doneness you love in your ribeye. Here are a few approximate time guidelines you can follow if you are cooking a 1 inch thick ribeye steak in air fryer.
When cooking your air fryer ribeye steak, use a meat thermometer to determine the temperature of the steak. Remember that the steak will increase in temperature by about 5 degrees when you let it rest, so take your steak out 5 degrees below where you want it to actually be. For instance, if you want a medium rare steak, you should cook the rib eye in air fryer until the meat thermometer reads 55℃ (130℉), and then take it out and let it rest for 5-10 minutes, allowing the final temperature to come up to 57℃ (135℉).

One of the great things about ribeye steak in air fryer is all the sides that go along with it.
Try it with:
If you have leftover steak, here is what you need to know about storing and reheating it:
Refrigerator: Store leftover air fryer ribeye in the refrigerator for up to 4 days in an airtight container.
Freezer: Freeze leftover air fried ribeye in a regular freezer for up to 3 months in an airtight container and up to 1 year in a deep freezer in an airtight container.
Reheating: The best way to reheat this steak is in the air fryer. Just set the air fryer to 400°F (205°C) (no preheating necessary) and cook the ribeye steak in air fryer just until heated through…so around 2-5 minutes depending on the size of the leftover.
When I air fry steak, I use the regular air fry setting, temperature of 400°F (205°C), and cook until it is done to my liking, which is medium.
There is normally no need to add extra oil to a ribeye steak before air frying it, although I added a little oil to keep in the moisture The amount of fat that is already in the meat will be enough to keep it nice and moist.
If you are cooking a lean rib eye steak in air fryer, there may be a reason to rub a small amount of oil on the steak in order to help retain the moisture of the meat and also to keep the meat from sticking to the basket.
How long you cook a 1 inch ribeye in the air fryer depends on the size of the steak, the type of air fryer, and how you like your ribeye cooked. In order to get a better idea, you can look at the “How Long to Cook Ribeye Steaks to Desired Doneness in Air Fryer” section above.
