These chocolate chip cookies are the sweet, chocolatey treat that we all need in our lives.

This microwave cookie dough recipe is great when you’re craving a sweet treat and want to whip up something in a short amount of time. It only takes around 3 minutes to make and you don’t even have to turn the oven on.
We only need a little bit of plain flour for this single serve microwave cookie.
Helps to bind the ingredients together whilst also adding protein and nutrients
I love the flavour of brown sugar here over caster sugar, as the sweetness is combined with a nice molasses flavour. You could also use honey or maple syrup to add sweetness.
The salted butter balances out the sweetness of microwave cookie dough. Think salted caramel vibe, but with chocolate chip.
Serve as little bursts of flavour throughout the cookie dough.

2. Then add the vanilla extract and egg and whisk until smooth (Image 2).

If you substitute the butter for vegan butter and the egg with a flax egg. Substitute the milk chocolate chips with dark chocolate
Yes you can! It’ll take longer than the microwave cookie, but if you pop it in a preheated oven to 180°C for 8-10 minutes then your cookie will be ready to eat. Some people may prefer the consistency of the oven baked cookie over the microwave cookie, but it of course takes longer.
